Handi Irawan D. Inaugurated as Member of the National Education Board, Ready to Contribute to Indonesian Education

Jakarta, March 13, 2026 — General Chairman of the Christian Education Council (MPK) in Indonesia and CEO of Frontier, Handi Irawan D., MBA., M.Com., was officially inaugurated as a member of the National Education Council (DPN) for Primary and Secondary Education for the 2026–2031 period by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed., at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Building, Jakarta.

The appointment was made based on the Decree of the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 57 of 2026 concerning the National Education Council for Primary and Secondary Education for the 2026–2031 period.

Handi Irawan is one of the figures entrusted to provide strategic input to the government in formulating national education policies, particularly in the department of primary and secondary education.

In his remarks, Minister Abdul Mu’ti expressed his appreciation to the figures who were willing to join the National Education Council to assist the government in strengthening the direction of education policy in Indonesia.

“We are well aware of the integrity, capacity, and dedication of all of you in advancing education in our homeland. We are very proud that you have been willing to join us in the effort to advance primary and secondary education,” said Abdul Mu’ti.

He explained that the formation of the National Education Council is an important step in strengthening the formulation of education policy. Although the mandate for the formation of the National Education Council was included in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, the institution could only be established now.

According to Abdul Mu’ti, the National Education Council is expected to become a strategic partner for the ministry in facing various educational challenges, while helping to realize President Prabowo Subianto’s fourth Asta Cita, which is to strengthen human resource development through education.

“We hope to receive constructive input so that we can work even better. There are many things we do not know from behind the desk. There are many things we do not know from social media and mass media. Therefore, we need input that truly reflects the conditions on the ground,” he stated.

Through this role, the National Education Council is expected to provide various strategic inputs, criticisms, and suggestions that help the government ensure all Indonesian children obtain their constitutional right to receive quality education.

This role is in line with Handi Irawan’s experience, as he has been actively involved in educational development across various organizations and educational institutions. With direct involvement in various educational ecosystems, Handi Irawan is expected to provide perspectives and input that reflect the actual dynamics on the ground.

In addition to serving as General Chairman of the Christian Education Council (MPK), he is also a member of the Higher Education Council (DPT) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).
